Child sexual abuse is not solely restricted to physical contact; such abuse could include non-contact abuse, such as exposure, voyeurism, and child pornography.
Camp Cedar Illinois is a nonprofit organization that was founded to create a safe, fun, and empowering environment for child and teen survivors of sexual abuse while providing resources, support, and education for the community. Our goal is to create an opportunity where the girls can experience a weekend where they can be themselves, learn life skills to reinforce how loved, precious, and strong they are, where they can feel loved and be encouraged to be all that they have been created to be. Rather than going through something that makes them a victim and defines their life, we encourage the kids and teens to see that they are survivors, that they are strong, loved, have incredible worth and value, and that they can have a happy, healthy, and normal life!
